CASE Activity Report – “Creating Awareness Through Science Education”

CASE STUDY AT HARA GOPAL SCHOOL, VISAKHAPATNAM

 A case study program was conducted by PG Second Year students on 15 December 2025 at Haragopal School, Visakhapatnam. The primary objective of this visit was to provide practical exposure to school students through simple chemical activities and to study their understanding, interest, and response towards basic concepts of chemistry.

 

During the visit, PG students organized and performed different chemical activities suitable for school-level understanding. These activities included simple experiments related to acids and bases, color changes using indicators, solubility behavior, and safe chemical reactions. All experiments were carried out using low-cost, safe, and easily available materials under proper supervision.

The PG students explained the scientific principles behind each activity in a simple and interactive manner. School students actively participated, observed the reactions with enthusiasm, and asked questions related to the experiments. This interaction helped in improving their conceptual clarity and developed curiosity towards learning chemistry.

The case study also focused on observing students’ learning behavior, teamwork, and safety awareness during laboratory activities. Teachers appreciated the effort of PG students in making chemistry learning more practical and engaging.
